What's the difference between all-star and rec cheer?
Rec (recreational) cheer is designed for beginners and younger athletes — lower cost, less time commitment, shorter seasons. All-star cheer is competitive year-round cheerleading at a gym, with multiple levels (L1–L7) and competition events.
How do I know if a gym is USASF-sanctioned?
Look for gyms that mention USASF membership or search the USASF Club Search at usasf.net/clubsearch. USASF membership means the gym follows standardized safety rules and is eligible for sanctioned competitions.
What age can kids start cheer?
